sd card health check monitoring: automatic status detection and alerts

The SD Card Health Monitoring feature automatically tracks the presence and operational status of the SD card in the gateway. It performs periodic checks approximately every 20 minutes to ensure the card is functioning correctly, so no manual verification is needed.

This feature helps users quickly identify issues such as disconnection, improper insertion, or read/write errors, supporting consistent system performance and data reliability.

Check the SD Status

  1. Log in to the gateway’s web UI.
  1. Go to Dashboard > Overview > SD CARD.

Status Definition

Normal

Status
Description SD card is detected and functioning properly.
What to do No action required.

Not Found

Status
Description No SD card is detected in the slot. This usually indicates that no card is inserted or the card is loose.
What to do

  1. Check the slot to confirm whether an SD card is inserted or if it is loose.

  2. Power off the gateway before inserting the card (hot-swapping is not supported).

  3. Insert or reinsert the SD card, making sure it is oriented correctly and firmly seated in the slot.

  4. Power on the gateway and check in Dashboard > Overview > SD CARD that the status changes to Normal.

  5. If the issue persists:

    • Try another SD card. (follow the same steps 2–4)
    • If the problem continues, contact the Support Team.

Abnormal

Status
Description An SD card is detected, but the gateway cannot read or write to it properly.
What to do

  1. Power off the gateway before removing or inserting the card (hot-swapping is not supported).

  2. Remove the SD card, check that the slot is clean and free of dust or debris, and reinsert the card firmly.

  3. Power on the gateway and check if the status changes to Normal.

  4. Replace the SD card if necessary:

    • If the status remains Abnormal, power off the gateway again and insert a different, compatible SD card.

    • Restart the gateway and check the status again.

  5. If the problem continues, contact the Support Team.
